• Older data 1:24,000, newer 1:12,000-scale.
• Partnerships – looking for partners, some in place in California

• Greeninfo Network http://www.greeninfo.org/ – NGO supports conservation work and have extended previous model to statewide effort
• National Relationship – USGS GAP, Conservation Biology Institute, some states, some federal agencies, national organizations,
• 2008 design national database
• Partnering efforts
• Discussion –
• management not included in the database,
• word “protection” is not representative,
• open space also doesn’t integrate well,
• Database good for strategic plans, creating larger conservation areas, etc.
• Easements are not in this database
• Privacy issues are a concern
• Conservation registration registry has been established – not as a geospatial database.
• Ray is trying to facilitate a reasonable review effort

• Reviewing all of the comments now – potential release in April 2008. Will require further refinement.
• Cost to maintain - $100,000/year? What channels are in place to share this information.
